What is it?!?
A fishing tournament to see who can catch the most fish, from fishing pools, in one week!
When is it?
Start: Monday, January 31, 6PM EST (5pm server time)
Finish: Sunday, February 6, 6PM EST (5pm server time)
Who can participate?
Any Crits and Giggles guild member!
How do we keep score?
Mail the fish you catch to Chandrilea, he will keep a running total of the number of fish you catch and current standings will be posted on the website and Guild message of the day. Double-check that you are mailing your fish to the right character, Chandrilea…there will be no way to retrieve your mail or credit you with your fish if you mail to the wrong character. Mailing one fish at a time rather than in maximum stacks to Chandrilea may compromise your qualification to win a prize. Please do not attempt to “break” Chan’s mailbox. You are encouraged to mail your fish in daily for a progress check and keeping daily leaders up to date.
Scoring:
Only fish* that are caught from pools will count. Common fish like the bristle catfish that don’t have pools associated with them, or fish that cannot be caught in pools will not count. So don’t waste your time fishing outside of fishing pools!
*Items such as trunks and crates, scroll cases, elemental water, mote of water and the like, will be counted as well. Junk like boots, seaweed, tangled line, and pygmy suckerfish will not be counted.
Additional Rules:
To keep track and to mitigate cheating (i.e. purchasing from the AH, etc.), Chandrilea will take note of how many fish has been caught toward the achievement immediately before the contest begins. This will be checked periodically to check if fish totals are matching the achievement progress. While we have no way to guarantee no cheating, we expect all members to be honest about their catches. Purchasing fish to turn in from the auction house will be considered cheating and you will be disqualified from the contest should you be caught cheating.
All fish caught during this Fish-Off will remain with Chandrilea until the Fish-Off is complete. Once the Fish-Off is complete, Chandrilea will return the fish and items to the respective players so they may keep what they worked to obtain.
Remember, the achievement only counts items that are caught from schools of fish, not open water. Be sure to check which fish from a school will benefit your well fed buff the most and seek that pool out. You can help yourself while helping the guild!
